Weiss Kreuz is a series I'm just starting to get into. While I'm not certain how well it lends itself to Yaoi (as all of them, especially Yohji and Omi, appear to be ladies' men), it's certainly very much a shoujo series. And thankfully, the doujinshi that I have come across has been very well-drawn and quite lovely. Even with the Yaoi. And what can I say, I'm a Yohji fanatic.

I'll probably rewrite this summary once I'm more familiar with the secondary WeiB characters and can actually recognize who's who. For now, I'll focus my explanation on the primary WeiB boys.
This is a collection of mostly serious stories, with mild humor mixed in here and there. One story shows Omi getting sick and fainting in Yohji's arms. Later in the hospital, he seems plagued by horrible dreams that Yohji cannot seem to silence. Another story shows Yohji on a mission to assassinate a pretty woman. While he laughs it off later with Omi, later scenes show him remorseful when he's alone. Ken recalls his days as a soccer player as he is given a mission to assassinate Kaze. A story towards the end shows Aya spending time watching koi with his sister. The end of the story shows Yohji speaking with Aya, who is recalling standing over a very bloody man slumped against the wall. Later, Aya recalls the laughing face of his sister.

Can we say angst? This one's an uber-angst-o-rama. In this doujinshi, Yohji angsts over having to kill Neu, who may or may not be his beloved Asuka. Very angsty, but the artwork is nice. Did I mention this doujinshi is angsty? There's not much more about it to be said...

This doujinshi features two serious stories mixed in with a couple comedic shorts. In the first story, Yohji and Aya both have a thing for Ken. Yohji seems to enjoy making Aya jealous by whispering sweet nothings into Ken's ear, until Aya gets angry and threatens him with his sword. Meanwhile, although Ken doesn't appear to enjoy all the attention he's getting, he also doesn't do very much to turn either away. In the end, although Ken runs to Aya's arms, he later allows Yohji to kiss him. The second story shows Ken in bed, upset about something that concerns Aya (maybe they had a fight, I don't know). He cries in his sleep, and Aya wakes him up, telling him it will be okay. They fall asleep in each other's arms. Awww.

Hooray for love triangles! In this doujinshi, Aya appears plagued by dreams of his sister, so much that it is affecting his relationship with Ken. Later, the Weiss Boys minus Aya are given a mission by Manx, and Yohji corners Ken outside after some discussion. He leans in to kiss Ken, and they later make sweet Yaoi love. It doesn't appear to be anything serious, just enough to give Ken release so that he can later place his focus in the mission.
A second story shows Yohji and Ken waking up on the steps to a building in the rain, after having sustained a heck of a beating during the latest mission. Upon regaining his senses, Ken immediately goes to Aya's side as he lays unconscious beside them. Yohji looks at the two as Aya awakens, and he smiles wistfully into the rain.

I didn't realize this doujinshi was shounen-ai until I read the description of it on Toshi-san's site. Apparently, Aya falls ill and Yohji retires to Aya's room to take care of him. As they speak, Yohji reveals that he loves Aya. However, Omi, standing outside the door with a tray of food, overhears this and gets very sad, as he also loves Aya.

The cover of this is much nicer than the inside. I particularly like the sly grin that Yohji is giving on the back cover. But anyhoo... This one's oddly drawn, and a bit tough to follow. The Weiss boys are given a mission, and somewhere along the line are observed by Schuldich and Nagi, who decide to make things difficult for the boys. While the boys are working in the flower shop, Nagi walks in and makes fluttery eyes at Omi, who watches him wistfully, possibly thinking that Nagi has turned over a new leaf. Later on the mission, Nagi decides to fuck with Omi's head while Schuldich beats on Ken.
It's not often that I find doujinshi with such wonderful cover art and odd art on the inside. The boys' faces are strangely proportioned, particularly Omi and Nagi.

My, but Ken is a darling little uke in this doujinshi. Aya asks Ken to join him in the back room and proceeds to force himself upon him. Apparently, Aya snogging Ken has become a common occurrence, as Yohji and Omi walk in on such a scene later on. Yohji tweeks, but Omi restrains him. Yohji later comforts Ken before snogging him himself and telling Ken that he'd better get used to it. Afterwards, Yohji takes Ken for a drive, and gives him a more gentle kiss that Ken seems to accept. Everyone all together now: Awwww!
