Finally! A pairing that allows Wu Fei to be the seme he's cut out to be! While somewhat difficult to find, this particular pairing is one of the few that allows Wu Fei to be the man in command on a regular basis. I'm very partial to the idea of Wu Fei and Duo together -- they're two of the most volatile characters in Gundam Wing, and also two of the most sadistic. Which leaves the potential for a considerable amount of conflict. I can see Duo and Wu Fei having a very love-hate relationship, filled with a lot of screaming, throwing things, and both of them always needing to get in the last word. But the make-up time afterwards must be tremendously fun, indeed...

This doujinshi was a lovely surprise. When I bought it, I was under the impression that I was going to be receiving a serious Wu Fei-centered doujinshi. Little did I know it was 5x2, which absolutely thrilled me. The first story is a little cliched, but the art is gorgeous and the characterization shines through beautifully. A very ill and very grouchy Wu Fei is led to bed by Duo, who proceeds to take care of him with a smile. Duo remains at Wu Fei's side for the night, resting his head on the edge of the bed. When Wu Fei wakes up the next morning, Duo has contracted Wu Fei's illness and faints in his arms. As Wu Fei takes care of Duo in return, Duo apparently says something that causes Wu Fei to give him that glare of his. Duo gives a cheesy grin, and Wu Fei throws several bottles of medicine at him, apparently giving up for the time being. Yet as Duo drifts off to sleep, Wu Fei tucks him in again, picks up a book, and remains at his side for the night.
The other story merely shows Duo and Wu Fei talking. I'm sure there's more to it than that, but I can't read Japanese, unfortunately. There isn't a lot of action, just a lot of sullen Wu Fei (with oddly drawn hair) and sweatdropping Duo.

This doujinshi contains several 5x2-based stories. In the first story, Duo and Wu Fei are playing cards. If Duo wins, he can kiss Wu Fei. When Duo eventually wins the game, he kisses Wu Fei on the forehead. However, Wu Fei then grabs Duo's shirt and pulls him down to kiss him on the lips. In another story, Trowa carries a very badly injured Wu Fei to a hospital bed, and an upset Duo grabs Trowa's shirt and screams at him. Duo then visits Wu Fei when he is bandaged up, and Wu Fei places his hand on Duo's and smiles, assuring him that he'll be okay. *sniffle* The last story has Wu Fei brought to Treize while he's a prisoner of Oz. After Treize takes advantage of Wu Fei, he is taken back to the cell where he collapses in Duo's arms. Duo then notices the blood on Wu Fei's lips and the marks on his neck, and Duo is sad.
Much as I don't like 13x5 (grossgrossgross), the story was a decent one. The 13x5 hater in me likes to think that the sex was nonconsensual and that Wu Fei didn't like it, but he doesn't seem to put up much of a struggle. Oh well. I'll just focus on the other stories, and on the cool artwork.

This doujinshi is actually 2x5, but because the art is so nice, I'll let it slide. The five Gundam boys and a dog named Nataku are all living together. Trowa comes to Wu Fei who is lying in bed in his pajamas looking angry and jealous because he saw Duo flirting with a girl. Later, Sally Po stops by for coffee, and after a somewhat heated conversation, Duo drags an upset Wu Fei from the room and hugs him. This sequence also includes a flashback scene of a very young Duo screaming into the phone and crying. At the end, Duo tries to kiss Wu Fei, and Wu Fei gets all blushy and uke and slaps Duo.

Continuing, with obviously several issues in between that I do not own, the story of the Gundam boys living together as a big happy family, Duo is seen in the first scene arguing with Heero. Trowa walks in and Duo screams at him too, while Trowa settles back in a chair and calmly drinks some coffee. Trowa tells them about an encounter he had with Treize, who had been pruning his rose bushes. In the next scene, Duo and Wu Fei climb into bed together. Duo kisses Wu Fei on the cheek, and Wu Fei bonks Duo on the head. The next day, Wu Fei is out walking Nataku when he is cornered by Zechs and Treize. As Wu Fei talks with Treize, Zechs sneaks up behind him and puts a drugged rag to his mouth. Treize carries off the unconscious Wu Fei, and Nataku barks at Zechs.

In the first story, Duo 'threatens' to kiss a brooding Wu Fei to take his mind off his problems. Instead, Wu Fei kisses Duo, and then tells him that it didn't take his mind off things. Another short story shows Catherine bringing Wu Fei and Trowa coffee, and she trips. Wu Fei leaps to his feet and gracefully catches the cups and the teapot without spilling a drop, and Catherine and Trowa applaud him. Other stories include Duo having his shower interrupted, Heero watching the other boys fix their hair, and Duo falling asleep beside Wu Fei as he's sitting beneath a tree and reading.
